Engelbert Humperdink!!

Well, it's been another few days of daily routine and such. We had a city band concert in the park last night, and it went well. I love having the concerts in the park with our big band shell and the lake in the background. It's a great sight for good concerts. I have the opportunity to direct a few songs on the 4th of July concert. It's actually more like I get half of the concert. It is a good experience for me to get in front of a band, and it is so much fun! It also gives my chops a rest. I know, I'm a wimp. So what...

I also can't wait till the 4th because of the family get together we have out here. There's nothing like the family getting together, eating yummy food, throwing fireworks at each other, and hearing guns being shot in the background while us ladies play card games. My family is not exactly what you call "normal". We have a strange sense of humor that I swear you won't find anywhere else! We laugh at things like my cousin catching himself on fire, him shooting himself in the balls with a nail gun, throwing people in the slimy horse tank... There also aren't many places where card games can get violent. Well, I guess the music lounge can count as one...

Anyhoo, that's it for now. I got off work about an hour ago, and it's time to relax!
