Feeling good

I am liking my new job so far. It's really not that hard. I just call people and set up appointments for them to donate blood. My supervisor says that I am doing very well so far, which makes me happy. It feels good to go to work on a regular basis...

As you can see, me and Aaron got our engagement pictures taken. Our friend Shyla took them, and she is going to also photograph our wedding. Talk about saving money there!

This weekend Aaron and I are going to Worthington. We are going to go to Iowa to my Aunt Joyce's greenhouse and pick out our flowers and have another meeting with the pastor. It's amazing just how quickly the wedding is coming up...

Dear friends...

Yesterday I spend the afternoon with my good friend Kristian. It made me realize just how much I miss him. Next time I will see him is in June....

My mom had her last radiation treatment last Thursday. She is now completly done with her cancer treatments, which makes me very happy!

The job things still isn't going well. I went and talked to Luther today to see if there was anything going on in the concert hall that I could work for and get more hours, and he said that things would be picking up rather quickly in the next week or two, so I can get at least 20+ hours a week in, which is what I want. That was a long sentence.....

Decent weekend

This weekend I played for the Fargo/Moorhead Symphony. I have to say it was a wonderful program! There were a lot of brass features, which you don't see too often. It was very fun to be a part of it, and I hope that I get other opportunities to perform with them.

This coming weekend I will be going home to Worthington to do some wedding things with Mom. I'll be leaving Thursday, so I should have at least 3 full days to do stuff. On Friday I'll take Mom to Sioux Falls for her radiation, then we are going to go through my many boxes of stuff at the house. Saturday will be another trip to Sioux Falls to look for things for the reception and tables and whatever else we find.

I found my dress the other week. As Aaron reads this, I can't give a description because I'm not letting him see it until I walk down the aisle....

I'm still trying to get a part-time job. I am handing in applications left and right. I guess I could always go and work for a grocery store if it is my only option left, but I would rather put a spoon through my temple than work at a grocery store again...

Life is kind of stressfull right now. I won't go into detail....

I'm looking forward to going home this weekend...

Happy New Year!

So, it's now 2007. I'd have to say that 2006 was a pretty good year for me. I got engaged for one! Patents is doing well, and I graduated from college. It has also had a couple bumps, mainly with my mother having breast cancer. She has pulled through that and she just has a few more weeks of radiation left, then no more!

Now that I don't have school anymore, I will actually have time to plan my wedding. It's only 6 months away, and there is still a lot to be done!

For New Year's Patents were in Ottertail, MN. That night there was a ton of people there, which always makes performing so much more fun. I also felt that I played one of my best shows that night. I also discovered that I absolutly need to get musician's ear plugs. My graduation money should cover that!

I did celebrate a little too hard and I was sick for most of the day yesterday... My New Year's resolution is to have no more than 3 drinks any given night. The after-effects of drinking too much just sucks....

I am going to go now and look for more jobs to apply for. I need to get one soon!

Happy New Year to everyone!!

Down Time

I have nothing to do until graduation. I have a day or two of work at the hall, but otherwise I have nothing to do. I've been interviewing at several places for a part-time job that will allow me to do some substitute teaching also.

Me, Aaron and Mikey are having a graduation party that is being graciously hosted by Matt Chausse. I think we will be starting it between 8:00 and 8:30. My parents want to take us out for dinner right after graduation, so that's why it is a little bit later. The boys are planning on getting a keg or two of something... It better be something good...

The mall on the weekend sucks. It seems that all the stupid people of the Fargo/Moorhead area come out on the weekends and congregate at the mall. Seriously, I just want to yell and punch some of them.......

Next weekend is the Matthies' Christmas down in Makato, MN. I don't get to see that side of the family very often, so I rather enjoy these get togethers. That Saturday Patents has a gig. I am sad that I can't be at it, but they got a good sub for me. But I'll be there for the Ottertail gig this New Years!

Not much else to say now. I have to go to work at the concert hall for Dan Johnson's recital this afternoon. I should get ready for that. Later.....
