Down Time

I have nothing to do until graduation. I have a day or two of work at the hall, but otherwise I have nothing to do. I've been interviewing at several places for a part-time job that will allow me to do some substitute teaching also.

Me, Aaron and Mikey are having a graduation party that is being graciously hosted by Matt Chausse. I think we will be starting it between 8:00 and 8:30. My parents want to take us out for dinner right after graduation, so that's why it is a little bit later. The boys are planning on getting a keg or two of something... It better be something good...

The mall on the weekend sucks. It seems that all the stupid people of the Fargo/Moorhead area come out on the weekends and congregate at the mall. Seriously, I just want to yell and punch some of them.......

Next weekend is the Matthies' Christmas down in Makato, MN. I don't get to see that side of the family very often, so I rather enjoy these get togethers. That Saturday Patents has a gig. I am sad that I can't be at it, but they got a good sub for me. But I'll be there for the Ottertail gig this New Years!

Not much else to say now. I have to go to work at the concert hall for Dan Johnson's recital this afternoon. I should get ready for that. Later.....

Last Day...

Today was my last day of student teaching. Even though there have been many days where I have complained about the middle school and 9th grade students, I am going to miss them terribly! I had some students ask me if I was really leaving. And they said I should come back.

I am so grateful for having Charlotte Morey and Shawn Brekke there for me throughout this process. I could not have done this without them. They have both showed me that I am able to do this! I was very hesitant to leave the band room at North today. My eyes were all teared-up while saying by to Shawn. Then they were tears because I realized that the students (at least most of them) do like me and do respect me as a teacher.

For many days I have thought to myself: "I think I can do this." Today, my thought has turned into "I know I can do this."

It's time to become an adult now....
