Strange feeling

It's my last night in Worthington before I go back to Fargo and start my student teaching later on this week. I'm a little sore and a little sunburned, but I did have a good time showing at the horse show and being home.

Why do I have this feeling of wanting to get absolutly drunk? Maybe it has something to do with the empty bottle of Vox sitting next to the monitor.... maybe.....

This coming weekend Patents has a gig at Moonlight Bay resort in Minnesota. It's a 2 day deal, so we get to spend the night... somewhere.... It will be nice to be by a lake that I can actually swim in.

Trees and Crickets....

Right now I am back home in Worthington to help out my mom and my cousin Kelsey at the county fair. Kelsey shows my mother's horse, so I will be helping out at the horse show tomorrow. I was at the fairgrounds for only a couple hours tonight and I already got sick of it. It's amazing the kind of people you see at a fair....

Mom is pretty much back to her old self until Wednesday when she gets her third chemo treatment. At times this situation has been rather surreal to me. I still can't believe this is happening to her...

Right now I am sitting in my bedroom with the window open listening to the wind blowing through the trees and the chirping of crickets. I often times forget just how peaceful it can be in the country, and it makes me miss it ever the more...

But also, what would I ever do without the people I have in Fargo?

It's almost time....

The school year is approaching very quickly, and I am nervous as hell to student teach! I just wonder how well I am going to do at this.....

Last night Patents Pending played for the Oliver County Fair in Center, ND. It was the smallest fair I have ever seen! There weren't any rides, only one food stand, a couple barns, a rodeo ring, a racing circle, and a little band stand for us. We did play rather well with the new PA system Ed got us. When me, Craig, and Jesse left, it was so damn windy that the BAV (Big Ass Van) was going everywhere! But overall it was a good ride back to Fargo with some pleasant company...

This Thursday I'll be going home for a few days to help out my mom at the county fair. A cousin of mine, Kelsey, shows my mom's horse, so I'm going to be there to help her out with the things Mom can't. Mom is doing well so far. She went to work last week for about 3 days and did half shifts. Next week will be her next chemo treatment. I hate it when she get them because she just gets so tired and so dependant on others. That's not the mom that I am used to. I often worry about Mom, even when she says I don't have to....

Well, some of you know and some of you don't, but I have news for everyone...

I'm engaged!!

Aaron proposed to me about 2 weeks ago, but I didn't want to announce it to a lot of people until my parent's knew. The wedding will be next summer in Worthington, MN. Already I am getting somewhat overwhelmed at how much planning there is involved!
