Procrastination
Well, as usual I am supposed to be doing homework. I did some of it, but I have hit the rut of "I'm tired of doing this." I am very good at procrastination I have come to find out. This looks more fun to do rather than homework.
We got our Chrismas tree yesterday. It's a short, fat little thing, but it's a cute tree that will serve it's purpose well. We set it up last night to let the branches fall, and me and Mom decorated it this afternoon when she got off of work. I haven't been able to help decorate the tree for 2 years now, and helping Mom with it today felt really good. It's one of the many things I miss about being away from home.
I love candles. Last night I had 10 of them lit up in my room. That's another thing I miss. Living on campus we are not allowed to have candles. I love to come home and to light all of my candles, turn off the lightswitch, and read by candlelight. There is something very comforting and soothing about that. I guess it's one of those girl things!
Tomorrow I get to go back up to Fargo for another 3 weeks of school. We have TBS 2nd and 3rd degree ritual tomorrow evening. I got my paddle all done for my little brother, and I must say that I did a damn good job on it. Too bad we can't "officially" use them, as no hazing is allowed. They always go and suck the fun out of life!
Monday night the Jazz Ensemble is playing at the mall for about half an hour. Our brass quintet also have to perform for 2 of the Madrigal Dinners. And with the Symphony Ball on Saturday, I have a pretty full week. I'm trying to figure out when I'm going to get my Christmas shopping done!!!
